How many litres of fuel, kilograms of CO₂, and rupees does traffic cost you every year? Pick your city, your vehicle, your commute — see your annual bill.
We model fuel consumption as baseline × speed-multiplier, integrated over each hour of your trip. The multiplier comes from a curve calibrated against ARAI urban-cycle data (India), EPA fuel-economy speed corrections, and IIT congestion-emission studies. Free-flow uses the corridor's best-observed-hour speed.
Vehicle baselines (real-world urban L/100km at 50 km/h cruise): bike-petrol 2.5, car-petrol 6.5, car-diesel 5.5, auto-CNG 4.0, EV 10 kWh.
Cold-start: +50% fuel for the first 3 km. AC: +5% at speed, up to +12% in heavy stop-go. CO₂ factors: petrol 2.31, diesel 2.68, CNG 1.93 kg/L; EV uses India grid avg 0.71 kg/kWh (CEA 2024).
Estimates are within ±15% of measured fuel consumption for the modeled speed/vehicle combinations. We do not adjust for vehicle age, terrain, weather, or load.
